Mimosa Absolute (Acacia decurrens) Odor: characteristic Use: Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma of the decurrens species exudes sweet-woody, spicy, and rich waxed honey character in abundance with somewhat vegetative and green violet qualities dancing in the background. A much darker, richer and fulsome experience in comparison with the sweeter and more innocent dealbata species which we also offer. This absolute is produced in India, flowers, twigs and the beautiful pinnate leaves are all used to produce the concrete. Once solvent extracted the absolute is of a solid to treacle consistency, yellow in colour and with bain-marie will become pourable very easily” |

Mane |
Mimosa Absolute Odor: Powdery Floral Use: Mimosa is a small cultivated tree that was introduced in France at the end of the 19th century. Originally from Australia, it became the "King of winter" in the French Riviera where it is considered as the region's emblem. Mane is one of the few Grasse companies to produce its concrete and absolute, from the blooming stems harvested in the well-known Tanneron area in the south of France. |

The Perfumery |
Mimosa Absolute (pourable) Odor: characteristic Use: The pleasant, floral, rich, sweet aroma of mimosa absolute is a great addition to products involving aromatherapy, cosmetics, perfumery, or soap manufacturing. This absolute is produced in France where the flowers, twigs, and the beautiful leaves are all used to produce the concrete. Through a special extraction method, the mimosa absolute becomes thick yet pourable, unlike the traditionally produced material from India. |
The Perfumery |
Mimosa Absolute (solid) Odor: characteristic Use: Mimosa absolute is widely used in aromatherapy, cosmetics, perfumery, and soap manufacturing. Its pleasant, floral, rich, sweet aroma is often described as relaxing and warming. This particular mimosa absolute, producted in India, is sold as a solid which will require warming to liquefy. |
