OSMANTHUS ABSOLUTE NATURAL |

Osmanthus Absolute China Odor: sensual, fruity and floral Use: Delicate, golden osmanthus flowers, on bushes lining the paddy fields of China, give off a surprisingly powerful scent. They open to release their rich, elegant fragrance, one that is at once appetizing and sensual, fruity and floral. En savoir plus : Osmanthus is native to China’s Chunking, Hsintu, and Chengtu regions. In the 17th century, osmanthus spread to Japan, Europe, and North America. The largest osmanthus plantations are in China, where the delicate flowers are gathered in December. Harvesting should be done the day the blooms open, as they fade quickly. To preserve the blooms for longer periods, the flowers are soaked in brine for several weeks before being transformed into concrete, then absolute. |

Osmanthus Absolute Odor: characteristic Use: Adam Michael has this to say about Osmanthus Absolute “This is a highly seductive floral absolute, the initial top note is somewhat fruity and sweet comparable maybe to eating yellow Mirabelle plums late in the summer. However it is the heart note that makes this utterly spectacular as I detect an infusion of sweet juicy apricots, fresh cream and a thick helping of Greek honey. This absolute is truly beautiful, incredibly tenacious and the jewel in the floral absolute crown. Used in high class floral perfumes and bases, blends particularly well with cassie, blue lotus, mimosa, orange blossom, peach CO2. Osmanthus should also be considered as an impact floral-fruit note.” |
