HALLSTAR® DIDA
Odor: characteristic
Use: HallStar DIDA is the clear, almost colorless liquid esterification product of Adipic Acid and Isodecyl Alcohol. It is a light emollient, liquid to low temperature (pour point ~ -54°C). It is readily emulsified and compatible in emulsion systems common to personal care products. This petrochemically-derived ester may be utilized in roll-on antiperspirant/deodorant products, perfumed body oils and moisturizing bath oils, and may also find application in hair care and other bath and toiletries products.Use Level:Hair care products: 0.05-0.25% as a plasticizer for styling resins, 0.5-5% as a glossing agent for conditioners.Skin care products: 5-20% of oil phase as a feel modifier or solvent for other ingredients in the emulsion, 5-50% as the oil phase in bath products.
HallStar
PLASTHALL® DIDA
Odor: characteristic
Use: PLASTHALL DIDA is the highest molecular weight member of our monomeric adipate ester series. It is outstanding among the adipate diesters for low volatility and resistance to extraction by soaps and detergents. The improved permanence of PLASTHALL DIDA, however, is gained at a slight sacrifice in efficiency and compatibility. PLASTHALL DIDA is generally used in plasticizer blends where benefits of its excellent low-temperature properties and improved permanence can be utilized without any sacrifice in performance.
