American Elements |
Sodium Acetate 99% Odor: characteristic Use: Sodium Acetate is a moderately water soluble crystalline Sodium source that decomposes to Sodium oxide on heating. It is generally immediately available in most volumes. All metallic acetates are inorganic salts of a metal cation and the acetate anion, a univalent (-1 charge) polyatomic ion composed of two carbon atoms ionically bound to three hydrogen and two oxygen atoms (Symbol: CH3COO) for a total formula weight of 59.05. Acetates are excellent precursors for production of ultra high purity compounds, catalysts, and nanoscale materials. We also produce Sodium Acetate Solution. American Elements produces to many standard grades when applicable, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, Reagent and Technical Grade; Food, Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Grade; Optical Grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia)and follows applicable ASTM testing standards. |

Formulations/Preparations: •grades: highest purity; pure fused; cp; nf; technical; fcc•there are several commercial grades of sodium acetate. anhydrous 99.0% purity is available as technical, usp and photo grade. photo grade has a more narrow particle size distribution and the particle density is greater and more uniform. sodium acetate 60% is available as technical, nf, and food chemicals codex. in the form of clean fine crystals, this trihydrate contains about 40% water of crystallization. commercial solutions, 33%, are also available•generic solution 2 meqml in 20, 50, and 100 ml containers and 4 meqml in 50 and 100 ml containers. |
